About Web Administrator Processes

The Administration tab of the Web Administrator screen has Process List comprising all client-defined administrative processes.

PROCESS NAME

DESCRIPTION

Account Maintenance

Used to view, add, or edit member data.

Enrollment Process

Used to enroll employees in a plan. Provides functionality to add a new employee to the database, if necessary, and to add employee and beneficiary data, such as addresses and status data.

Benefit Estimates Process

Estimates the benefit a member would receive upon termination or retirement and saves it as a 'Quote'.

DC Admin Process

Provides access to DC-specific functionality, including Deposit, Withdrawal, Switch, and Change Allocation Instructions.

Termination Process

Uploads the termination application, performs a 'pending' termination calculation, generates the option letter, uploads the chosen option, performs a 'payout request' to determine the final benefit, payee(s), and payment, tax, and deductions instructions.

Retirement Process

Uploads the retirement application, performs a 'pending' retirement calculation, generates the option letter, uploads the chosen option form, performs a 'payout request' to determine the final benefit, payee(s), and payment, tax, and deductions instructions.

Death Process

Uploads the death notification, performs a 'pending' death calculation, generates the option letter, uploads the chosen option, and performs a 'payout request' to determine the final benefit, payee(s), and payment, tax, and deductions instructions.

Disability Process

Uploads the disability documents, reviews the disability status, performs a 'pending' disability calculation, generates a disability letter, performs a 'payout request' to determine the final benefit, payee(s), and payment, tax, and deductions instructions.

Marriage Breakdown Process

Uploads the marriage breakdown documents, performs a marriage breakdown (division of assets) calculation, generates a statement, performs a Marriage 'payout request' to determine final benefit, payee(s), and payment, tax, and deductions instructions.

Purchase of Service Process

Uploads purchase of service documents, performs a 'pending' purchase of service calculation, generates a cost of purchase letter, uploads an election of purchase document, performs a 'payout request' to determine the final benefit, payee(s), and payment, tax, and deductions instructions. In addition, the process provides access to cheque processing and purchase accounts information.

Disbursements/Pension Payroll

Disburses lumpsum and/or pension benefits to the members/retirees/beneficiaries via a batch.

Cheque Handling Process

Provides access to the Cheque Handling wizard used to Cancel and Reissue a cheque or to Void a pension payment. Also provides access to the Receipt Wizard.

Manage Payees Process

Used to view, add, or modify payee data, such as payment, taxes, and/or deductions instructions, etc.

Pension Increases Process

Performs (annual) pension increases via a batch process.

DC Batch Processes

Performs various DC-specific batch processes (import fund rates, fees, fund balance recalculation etc)

DC Statement Process

Generates DC-specific statements via a batch process.

Credit Interest DC

Calculates and credits interest based on rate tables specified within the setup for each fund, via a batch.

Employer Contribution Import

Imports, validates, and posts contribution data received from an employer. Also posts the receipt of employer cheques and estimates the next billing.

DB Statement and Valuation Process

Generates year end calculations, annual benefit statements, and valuation data via batches

General Ledger Accounts

Exports financial transactions performed during a specified period to an external General Ledger.

Member Tax Information

Displays member tax information.

Tax Slips Process

Generates member tax slips via a batch.

Employer Maintenance

Used to view, add, or edit employer data.

New Employer Process

Provides functionality to add a new employer to the database, and to add associated employer data, such as addresses, contacts, plans,status, and login account data.

Manage Tasks

Provides access to the user's task list, to a list of all users tasks and to the New Task wizard.

Rule Changes

Provides access to view and/or update interest, mortality and contribution rates.

Plan Setup

Provides access to create client, clone plan, plan setup, add user-defined code, and formula functionality via wizards.

Data Conversion Process

Imports data (demographic, addresses, earnings, service, status, etc) via a batch process.
