Location: Account Maintenance or Enrollment Process /New Beneficiary
To add a new member beneficiary to the database:
From the Administration tab, select the Account Maintenance process from the drop-down list.
Select the New Beneficiary event. The Beneficiary Wizard opens.
If appropriate, enter a SIN/SSN number.
Enter the First and Last Names.
Enter a Date of Birth.
Click Next. The system searches for this member in the database. If similar records are available, you can select one, or select New Person and click Next.
From the drop-down list, select a Title and enter a Middle Name.
If appropriate, click to select Birth Certificate. If this indicator is not selected, a 'Member Age not confirmed' warning displays for all calculations.
Select a Gender, Marital Status, and Language.
Click Next to display the Relationship page.
Select a Relationship from the drop-down list.
Click Next to display a summary of the information added.
If the summary is correct, click Finish. The system displays a list of all the member's beneficiaries.
The next step is to assign the percentage allotted to each beneficiary. Note: If a member is enrolled in more than one plan, the beneficiary designation can be different for each plan.
From the Administration tab, select the Account Maintenance process from the drop-down list.
Select the Designation event.
Select a Plan from the pick list to view a list of all beneficiaries and the eligibility and percentage for each.
To modify the designations, go to Edit mode and make the required changes.
Click Submit to save your changes.
