Location: DC Batch Processes/Fund Balance Recalculation
A Fund Balance Recalculation batch calculates, for each member, an opening and closing balance and optionally, a rate of return, for a specified period and stores the values in a buffer. The data from the buffer can then be used for various reports and statements.
Use the following steps as a guide to run a Fund Balance Recalculation batch online.
From DC Batch Processes, click to select the Fund Balance Recalculation. The system displays the batch wizard.
Using the arrows provided, move the Calculate fund balances task from the Available Tasks list to the Selected Tasks list.
Click Next to advance to the Select Parameters screen.
Using the option buttons provided, click New to enable the selection of new parameters. (Note: Clicking Last Run sets the parameters to those chosen from the previous run. Clicking Previous Run enables the drop-down list from which you can select a run to use.)
Click Next to advance to the Set Batch Parameters screen.
From the drop-down list, select the Client.
From the drop-down list, select the Plan.
Using the calendar provided, specify the period by selecting the Date From and Date To.
From the drop-down list, select the Option, Always recalculate and save as new.
Leave the default values 'No' for the Calculate Rate of Return and Calculate Details of Calc parameters.
Click Next to advance to the Summary screen. The Fund Balance Recalculation batch calculates, for each identified member, an opening and closing balance for the specified Client, Plan, and Period specified in the parameters.
If the Summary is correct, click Finish. After a short time, the system displays the buffer created.
